Are you a creative individual who has a great app idea and would love to make it happen, but lacks the technical expertise, so you're considering paying a developer?

My best advice to you: DON'T!

Do not try to hire me, and do not hire any other development agency, because it will either cost a fortune, you will be disappointed, or both.

Assume that development work is quite difficult and requires deep immersion, so if you really want to make progress, you have to pay a serious amount of money to the developer every month (just imagine how much you would charge if you were a developer). Creating a simpler application can take several months, so you have to pay this amount several times. In a few months, you could be at the price of a car, and that's just the beginning. If you are lucky, for this money, the application will at least really do what and how you originally planned, but if you chose the wrong developer, it may happen that for all that money, the product won't even be what you dreamed of.

If you see a company promising you a complex, working app for a few hundred thousand HUF in a few weeks, unfortunately, they are lying; don't fall for the temptation.

Moreover, app operation requires more than just a created application; you have to pay for app store access, the server, other backend services, potential license fees, and so on. And if that's not enough, there will be plenty of administrative tasks; it is enough for me to mention that you will need, for example, a privacy policy that actually covers your specific service.

And also think about the fact that the finished application is worth nothing if no one knows about it, and it may even turn out that your idea wasn't that good after all. Scaling the app will be a separate story and it may easily happen that it will not be successful.

App development is therefore—at least in my opinion—for well-funded companies, or perhaps for "creative generalists" like myself, who are willing to learn everything themselves and do it themselves.

Therefore, with my best heart, I suggest that if you have the idea but lack the expertise, rather spend your time on it, gain the expertise, and then create it yourself, exactly as you want it! This way you also develop yourself and you don't risk the price of a new car or even a Budapest apartment! But don't be scared! Although it is a very complicated thing and a lot of "struggle" is guaranteed, if you are persistent and use your devices and opportunities for learning instead of brain-rotting scrolling, every door can open before you in a relatively short time. I wish you the best of luck in realizing your dreams!
