Want to become a parent, but don't have a partner or need some assistance? The Want a Baby app is for you!
I'll start this blog post by mentioning that I might give the Want a Baby app a different name later on. When I named it, I thought I had chosen the best possible name, but somehow it hasn't proven to be all that easy to find in the app store—at least for now. So don't be surprised if you see it under a different name among my apps later!
What brought the Want a Baby app to life? The fact that there are many people in the world who need some form of help to become parents, and they don't always receive adequate support from public healthcare, or even private options most of the time. Let's look at the simplest scenario: say you're a single woman who really wants to become a mother, but somehow you haven't found the right man to have a child with, and you don't want to wait any longer as the years tick by and the window slowly closes. In the Want a Baby app, you can find a partner, a companion, or even love to have a baby with through cooperation.
However, this app is useful in many other life situations as well. For example, if you live in a lesbian relationship, you definitely need a man's help to have a child. This can happen through a sperm bank, but that is very expensive and not all countries serve lesbian couples. This is where the community comes into play... because the Want a Baby community features countless men who are happy to become unofficial sperm donors or even full-fledged fathers.
And don't think only women long for a baby. It also happens that a man wants to be a father, but for some reason there is no one to bear a child for him. He also gets a chance in the Want a Baby app to meet women who want children. And we haven't even mentioned those heterosexual couples who enthusiastically prepared to have a baby, only to find out they have no chance of doing so without help due to fertility issues. They can search for an egg donor, sperm donor, or even a surrogate mother within this app.
It is very important to add that egg and sperm donation, as well as surrogacy, are regulated differently in every country, and we simply refer to donors in this app for the sake of simplicity. Users must always inform themselves about the legal environment valid in their own country, which I highlight right when the app is launched for the first time.
If you feel this app is meant for you, come join us in the community! And if it's not for you, show it to those acquaintances who might need the Want a Baby app.
